Gov't Helping the Rich

The Electric Kool-Aid Subsidy Test Tax credits for electric cars are a classic income transfer to the rich. Time to end them. WSJ Editorial President Trump’s recent blowup over General Motors layoffs was largely misdirected, though it may spur at least one good policy result. Killing subsidies for e...

Re: Latest reproducing rabbit hounds

just curious what are the reproducing studs today that produce the aggressive hunt, good line control; nose, and handleing? What is the breeding on your bitch, what area of the country, and which game are you hunting? If you own a good bitch that satisfies you, you need to stay with the style, speed ...

Re: Merry Christmas Everyone

Obama was/is just a willing tool for the Deep State. He and the rest are making out handsomely. The Ryans and McConnels are just as dirty for not exposing it. Its good cop bad cop. Either that or Obama and Hillary must have some bad evidence on those guys and they are afraid to talk.

Re: Run to catch

When the runners and squatters are gone, only the holers are left. There is one in a thicket beside my home that I run regularly with pups. Most of the time he will make a half circle and head for the hole. A couple days ago he ran for about an hour before going to ground. It seems that on a bright ...

Re: Boldstroke

Its too bad the back pages of the espo board have been lost. About twenty years ago the fellow who established the Boldstroke line, who was in poor health at the time, posted several threads about his dogs. I think he sold out to a beagler in North Carolina. The only dog that I remember showing up o...

Re: known dogs

IMO, " FC" would be well down on the list of requirements for a "good" hunting dog. In fact a trial title would not enter my mind.

Re: Run to catch

Shady G, several years ago me and three other hunters turned the dogs loose and started hunting, We hunted down a drainage ditch covered with thick briars and brush about twenty five ft wide. After hunting a few hours we came back to the truck following this ditch. When we got about fifty ft from wh...

last one I attended 3 dogs were barking and running on logs and smelling up trees and the judge said that didn't mean anything
Sounds like dual purpose hounds.
Squirrels and rabbits.

Re: people you can trust

Steve that, IMO, is how to be build a line of beagles. I met another local guy who hunts, likes the same type dog as me, and keeps all males. If I have a good male that I like, I call him and let him try him. I f he likes the dog, then I have another stud in the neighborhood to use later. Its a wond...

Re: people you can trust

If you are going to buy a dog, start as close to home as possible. If you know what you like, look around at beagles in your area. Salesmen make a living making the average sound like a champion. A few years ago a friend told me about a beagler that had some young started hounds for sale similar in ...

Re: Akc mid west

It depends on where you are hunting and the conditions. But most important it depends on the style that you most enjoy.
Beagling is supposed to be fun. If you like them, you feed them, run what you like
