If I solo him wouldn't he get even faster? they can't catch him now. They all start out together they just can't smell the rabbit as good as he can.

Hounds get better after they are gone and fish grow after you eat them! I'm not saying there are not dogs that can run on bad days I've had a couple, but some days they struggled and some they didn't. I think the post was about good and bad scent.
