Harmless to them too. Eats amphibians. Rodents are toxic to them.

Can't really see it that well in the picture. If it flattens it head and looks like a cobra, it's a harmless hognose snake (puff adder). If that is what it is it will also play possum.

If you run this dog a lot, I would go ahead and dock it myself.

Band it or tape his tail with duct tape. I have banded two older dogs myself. I have also taped their tails as well.

So far my surviving pup is gaining weight, eyes are open and walking a little. She will be 3 weeks Saturday. I think I will name her Millerlake's True Blue Emma.
