Re: Conformation in Mid-West hounds
Beagle huntsman I have little to say in this other than the large pack trials I have been to have been in 80 or 120 acre pens or larger and the running of the hare seems to be relatively natural for what it is. There is room for the hounds to take a hare out of hearing and back and it is outstanding...

Re: Trash proof. hounds
I have had one that was out of Trails and Destiny that never took a deer. I ran a collar on him until the day I got rid of him but he made me nervous because I never zapped him. The guy I sold him to said he tattled on some younger dogs when they took a deer. But that was the only one I ever owned a...

Re: Conformation in Mid-West hounds
I believe what mybeagles is trying to say is that when you say conformation you are saying a very specific thing. With that being said a lot of show beagles are being bred too short and squared off and they are stiff and unathletic which the breed standard specifies athleticism. I am going to say th...

Re: What u guys think? Is it possible
Plus I am sure local vendors and stores may donate items for a raffle. Should be a great time and in one of those chairs he would be able to judge better than some men on their feet. Talked to a guy last night about them and he said they are awesome and extremely stable and nearly impossible to get ...

Re: New Pups
Pine lakes I have had such bad luck but I hope it worked out for the best. I feel for a few guys who just had bad luck with raising litters. Quite a few guys just had no males and a few I forgot to ask about size. I am sure these will give me a chance to have a rabbit dog.

New Pups
I have been trying to get Two male pups for what seems like and eternity. I have had some great conversations with many of you on this board. Well yesterday I had two awesome looking pups out of Oliver and Ali-Gator brought down. A huge thanks to Harry Hollister and Daryl Raines for putting on the m...

Re: Most dominating performance you have witnessed??
Jim I am just going off hearsay because I have yet to see John Deweyse's Navigator dog go but I was standing there when a man who has been running dogs with him for around 30 years told him Navigator was probably the best dog he has owned. Keep in mind John has owned and finished around a dozen IFC'...

Re: Most dominating performance you have witnessed??
Greg I listened to John talk about having Heli-Prop at his place for a while and bracing him and Pacesetter for a month or so before Branko took Prop back and he said it was one of the best things he had ever seen. I would have liked to see that.

Re: Trashing Running Beagles
I am with woody as far as breaking them also know a guy with a pen that has a doe that drops a fawn in the pen every year seems like. To answer your question I have owned one male out of Trails and Destiny that never ran a deer for me and his new owner said he tattled on young dogs running deer. He ...
