can be urinary tract infection, kidney infection or worst case kidney stones. i've had this happen before, gave amoxicillin for 10 days and its gone. dont wait too long, one of mine could barely walk because of such a bad UTI, i didnt notice the blood for awhile. antibiotics knocked it out.

ok, i've had a band on my dogs tail for 3 weeks. the tail is dead, the band has gotten loose. but the tail hasnt fallen off. i can see the bone, do i leave it alone or cut it?

sacandaga dog supply also has the amoxicillin. i keep some on hand at all times. im giving mine the antibiotics while the band is on...just to be safe. i used the banding tool to put mine on, borrowed it from my uncle. but you could probably use your fingers. they're extremely tight and you might ha...

feel free to call me 434-242-3562. It was easy and the dog felt immediate relief. i had one of my dogs done last year by the vet, he had stitches and was laid up for 3 weeks. oh and plus all the $$$$

Full circle i know what you mean. my dogs tail was so damaged I was left with two options. 1. do the band 2. pay my vet $350 right here at christmas. i had to go with option 1! i could tell after an hour or two the tail was already starting to die. it went from very raw and bloody to dry and turning...

I agree Leah. and his tail was worse this morning when i went outside to check on him. so i had no doubts that this was the right thing to do. i really think the dog is in less pain now with the band on. he's acting alot friskier.

banded my dogs tail this morning. the dog never flinched. hasnt messed with it at all. i saw him lick at it once or twice. within a few minutes the raw part of his tail started to dry up. he already seems relieved

sounds good. im going for it tomorrow. this dogs tail is beyond healing. it stays open all the time. raw meat being abused over and over. i can barely look at it anymore

so this takes 3-4 weeks to fall off? what if it goes longer? is that panic time....or do some just take longer?
