Re: Another 45LC/410 Handgun

I was wondering how long the barrel is, and if it shoots 3" shells? Does it have a screw in choke, like a contender? Thanks.

No cold trailing, and handles very well. He has been gunned over twice so far, and no problems there either...

Re: Setting rabbit trap

I have very little luck this time of year, after the grass and food supplies start running short in mid winter, it is much easier. Try spraying vanilla extract all around the trap, using apple for bait.

Re: Rabbit trap bait

I have a friend who traps rabbits all winter long, all over our county, he transports them in burlap sacks, puts them in comercial rabbit cages, and keeps them until spring when the cover in his twenty acre running pen gets thick. He traps around twenty a year like this, and has no problems keeping ...

jackrabbits in texas?

I am thinking of going to texas on a hunt, and was reading about the jackrabbits down there, so I was thinking about taking a few dogs down to try to run them. Has any one tried this, I have never heard of anyone that has? can a dog track one in that sandy soil? Do they circle like a hare, or cotton...

Re: Plans for a good rabbit trap?

The pyramid trap is by far the best trap to use, I bought a few from Eddie, and made my own off his setup. The bait you want to use is apple, you can even spray apple juice all over the trap, just to make sure there is no other scent on the trap.

Re: Feeding dogs before a hunt

I never feed before a hunt, if you do, make it a small amount. Think about how you feel after eating thanksgiving diner, you just want to lay back in a lazyboy, and take a nap. Your body uses energy to digest all that food. A dog is no differant.

Re: charles daly pump shotguns

My nephew has a 20. ga daly. He hunts dove, squirrel, rabbit, grouse, quail, pheasant, turkey with it. For the money this gun cant be beat, very light, durable. His gun is no good with deer slugs, it throws them allover. It doesnt eject low brass shells 100% of the time, but I can show you $1000 guns...
