It could have been anything from a copperhead to a rattler to a water moccasin. My guess would be a copperhead though. But there are many canal ditches and a few ponds in the pen we were running so it could have also been a water moccasin.

I haven't had any trouble with the lattice. I raised three different litters on it and liked it a lot. ANd one of the mama dogs was a notorious chewer.

If the dog would have been overheated then he wouldn't have recovered so quickly. I think he should be proud of that dog. Sounds like he's tough as nails.
