Re: free puppy to disabled/handicap child
Some ideas to consider in your generous and compassionate offer to place a pup with a handicapped or disabled child. If the family is allready involved with beagles the child probably allready has some to enjoy. Why not choose a child who does not allready have beagles? Both parents need to be 100% ...

Re: 2011 All American Youth Hunt
I will add THIS IS THE BEST HUNT OF THE YEAR. DON'T MISS OUT! This is a fun hunt for the children. It is organized by UKC beaglers but is open to all. Dogs are not required to be UKC registered for this fun hunt. We always have lots of prizes for the children in a free raffle. Amazing trophies. Some...

Re: Can I or can't I---ukc trial puppy papered dog HELP
Great advise from John about running the pup solo and some with a good clean trashfree dog that won't put a lot of (speed) pressure on your pup. Will also need to make sure the pup is broke off deer and ideally broke under the pressure to pack if another runs off-game. Definetely do not want to crea...

Re: Revised PKC Running Rules & New Bench Show Program
Great to see you have added shows to your program. I like the 3 judge panel for major events, dogs are judged on their motion(gating) and on the bench... Soundsa like the beginning of a quality program. Best of luck! Would like to apply for a license to judge these events. How do I go about that? Dan

Re: Ohio Beaglers!
I rarely vote Democrat but definetely voted for Strickland. He has brought new business in and has other projects in the works. Most will likely be crushed by the new administration. Kasich is an idiot to think he will just give the money back and the federal government will pay it on the National D...

Re: NRA backs Ohio Gov. Strickland
State workers have definetely taken a hit. So many unemployed gives the state less $$ to pay employees. Those who still have a job are fortunate. All part of cutting the cost of government. Kasich claims he will do even better at cutting the cost of government. What will that do to State workers? I ...

NRA backs Ohio Gov. Strickland
It is a tight race for Gov. in Ohio. Will Gov. Strickland's NRA backing and his history for supporting Ohio sportsmen have an impact on the election?

Re: feeding pups
12-14 months. Quality puppy food provides nutrition necessary for growth. Removing the necessary nutrition too soon is worse than feeding the puppy food a bit too long. When you do switch over do it gradually 75-25, 50-50, 25-75, then 100% new food. Takes a couple weeks.

Re: Best ways to break pup from running deer?
Let the pup wear a shock collar before ever shocking to avoid becoming wise to the collar. Drive around till you find dear in an area unlikely to have rabbits. Make sure the deer are out of sight and walk the pup across it. Let him get to running it and opening (BE CERTAIN HE IS RUNNING THE DEER) th...

Re: Would you rather have a great male or a great female
Prefer males for rabbit hunting and trialing. No heat cycle!
Prefer females for the flexibility of being able to breed how I want.
