Re: best run to catch style. (STUD)

It's kind of funny where I see all those pictures of Garmins with ridiculous MPH's posted, my GPS doesnt get above 4 MPH very often. I run my dogs 5 to 6 days a week, mostly on cottontail. Whats funny to me is I've won LPH trials with these "slow dogs", and SPO trials with Midwest style dogs entered...

Re: Need a class for oversize dogs?

Swampman hit the nail right on the head. Why would you change the AKC size limits to conform with oversize dogs, instead of breeding dogs to remain within the size limits that have been good for over 100 years? My own view on the size thing is that speed is what is desired now days, and speed seems ...

Northeastern Wisconsin Beagle Club Field Trial Postponed to May 5th and 6th

Due to getting the most snow at one time since 1888, N.E.W. has the approval of The A.K.C. to move our licensed Field Trial to May 5th and 6th. Re: Northeastern Wisconsin Licensed SPO Field Trial, April 21-22 2018

The way the snow is coming down this weekend, there will probably be snow on the ground for our trial.

Why always the sire?

When I ask a person about the breeding of their dog, they almost always tell me the sires name. No mention of the dogs Dam. As far as I'm concerned, if you don't have a solid bitchline, you don't have a leg to stand on. My question is, why do beaglers count so heavily on the Sire?
