Re: 100 MPG TECHNOLOGY

I find this interesting. http://www.squidoo.com/run_car_with_water Has anyone tried this? My 80 year old dad is constantly going on about how this was the way submarines were powered during the war. seems like a good idea so, if it is WhY isn't someone making this work!!!!?

Re: Question about breeding

Yes, A-I is done in dogs but not nearly with the frequency or success as with cattle, etc. Your problem is more likely to be finding a breeder who is having it done with his stud and/or finding a vet that handles frozen or fresh chilled seamen.good luck. With the cost of fuel and high prices of ship...

Re: I NEED SOME HELP WITH A WELPING BOX!!!

Do you plan to whelp her in the house? A small kids swimming pool works well with an X-pen around it. Depending on the room you have in your kennel a wooden box is fine but, difficult to keep really clean or we have even used the plastic pans for mortar that are at Home depot. It would all depend on...

Re: Problems with female pup

My girl is 12 weeks old and was just at the vet for shots where she checked out great. She is the runt of the litter but extremely aggressive but every time she ats she throws up, then eats it again (gross) and she isn't really gaining weight. I know some food is going through her because she is st...

Re: Purina Compay

While back there was a post on here where Purina would feed your dogs for a month. I called the number and went thru the survey. My question is anybody received anything from Purina yet? I know they said it would be 6-8 weeks but for some that time has to be up. Thanks Tom Gross I put the post on h...

Re: How much in one day

Picked up a new hound today. 3 1/2 months old. Gave it a 5 way and some ivomectin. Noticed the stool was bloody. Would you treat it for coccidia today also. Or is that to many drugs in one day? Shouldn't hurt at all to give something for coccidia today along with the other meds. The diarrhea can be...

Re: Torn nail on du claw Help!!!

I am pretty sure it is attached. Thanks for the info and would like to hear any other suggestions but your advice is what I am probably gonna do. :D I misread your first post and thought the dog had torn the pad of the dew claw. If its just the nail you should clip it down as close as possible to t...

Re: Torn nail on du claw Help!!!

If its attached to the bone it would be extremely difficult for you to remove it now. I would doctor it with some anticeptic. Peroxide or whatever you have. put some triple antibiotic on it and get some vet wrap and wrap it up. That way it won't be torn further. Vet wrap sticks to itself and stays o...

Re: help with shots please

ok the only problem i see now is the vaccine needs to stay refrigerated. Thats fine for the 16 weeks shot. I leave on the 15 to oregon camping for 3 months and her shots for 19weeks would be on aug 23rd . I guess i'll have to bring it with me and keep it on ice ? and it will be fine to wait till no...

Re: help with shots please

Maybe TC can give you the name of a reasonable vet because that is TOO high for a spay. She is also too young to spay in my opinion. I'd wait until she is 6 months. You can buy shots at a local feed store in your area. Cal ranch maybe? You'll definately need to get with other people who are close to...

Re: Male Breeding

I was told that you were only allowed to breed a male 7 times. and a female as many times as she would. Is there any truth to that. You might be referring the frequently used sire DNA program. I believe you must DNA a dog if he is bred 3 times in one year or 7 times over his lifetime. There is no l...

Re: What time of day do females generally have their pups

There is no rhyme or reason for when they have them. They just do! I'd say middle of the night is the most usual and I've had a few have them in the morning after keeping me up ALL night long!

good luck!
