Re: any more show results?

Tom,

Peanut looked lovely and really strutted her stuff! I couldn't have been more proud of her had she been my own ;-) You could tell the judges just loved her!

I have been running her quite a bit and is in pretty good shape.

Re: Breeding question

It won't hurt her at all to breed her back to back and then skip. If she is fairly young and in good condition I can't see why not ;-)

Re: old dogs

I treasure my old dogs! After about 7 its pretty much a Given that they will stay here their whole lives however, I don't turn down nice homes for the older ones where they can get that one on one attention. I have retired 3 to my sisters house and usually retire bitches around 5 years old. Some wil...

Re: Breeding

Believe me! you can get a bitch pregnant without a tie. If your dog is not able to make a tie then you need to hold him in place until he has finished ejaculating. Its really pretty simple. You'll likely need 2 people for this. One to hold the bitch and one to help the dog. Once he gets going if he ...

Re: URGENT - Injured Pup - What do I do?

Dog bites are infectious and especially to a young puppy who's immune system is not fully formed. Please take him to the vet and let them see what needs to be done. This puppy will need an antibiotic and perhaps stitches.

Make the lip of the box higher so they aren't dragged out on a tit.

Re: eye problem

Has he been to a vet? Sounds a little like dry eye. Even though stuff is oozing if he isn't producing enough tears his eyes will do that. Also, he could have cornea scratches now and cataracts (cloudiness) He needs to be seen by a vet or veterinary opthamologist.

best of luck,

Re: CUTTING KENNEL COSTS AND MEDICINE

Using Ivermectin (injectable) is as safe as heatguard or any of the other more expensive products. Ivermectin is the main ingredient in all of these. Studies show it to be very safe for dogs other than some collie breeds. I give 1/10th of a CC once per month on a dog biscuit. I do not mix it with an...

Re: Food for Thought....Vaccines

This common sense approach to veterinary medicine is a dying breed! I am one of the lucky ones who has a vet who is like minded. If this one is in your area I'd recommend going to him! If only there were more like this!!!
