Re: When

I also have a small pen of about an acre with a lot of cover and it is NOTHING MORE than a starting pen to introduce them to scent. It is too small to fine tune the pups because the rabbit will cross his own track time and time again. This is especially a problem if you have more than one rabbit in ...

Re: STD"S in dogs?????

Sounds like Canine Herpes or what some people call fading puppy syndrom.

Here is a link at Marvistat with information about the infection.

Re: Dog's Name

This application must be completed to effect a change to an AKC-registered dog’s name. The name of an AKC-registered dog may be changed provided the dog was whelped in the United States. Further, in cases where the litter owner(s) first individually registered the dog, the litter owner(s)’ written c...

Re: Coxcidea.

I have always used Albon for Coccidia. Your vet should have given you enough meds to treat them all. Shame on them! I have large old trees that attract a lot of birds to my place. With the birds come coccidia thought the feces. Because Coccidia is in my area, I do not let my pups younger than 3 mont...

Re: Dog Bleeding Out

Did this vet pull bloodwork and check this dog out for a tick bourn infection?? I had a female with Ehrlicia a few years back that bled real bad. Doxiclycline straightened her out.

Re: a good wormer for everything

A friend gave her 18 year old cat (looked like death-skinny and loosing hair) some pyrantel pamoate. She thought she killed it but it slicked back up. That was a couple years ago so it was either on its 8th life or it wasn't toxic, LOL. I have a 12 year old cat that was looking poor and had tapes. G...

Re: video...4-3-10

Boy! you had one little tri colored dog looking like it was doing a great job from what I saw! (not knocking the others but that one stood out to me) I agree with the others.....solo as much as possible or at the very least brace two at a time when you can. Will give the less advanced pups more conf...

Re: So is the Ivomec everyone is using?

Yes Joey, thats the one I use for heartworm prevention only at 1/10cc per 10 lbs once a month. I have never had a dog die of kidney failure and have several senior dogs now that still run great........AND I have never had a miss from breeding. I use the safeguard (fenbendazol) for hooks, rounds, and...

Re: Color?

Are those feet white?? Can't tell for sure from the picture
She has at least two colors and looks like 3 (feet). Darker blanket, lighter tan sides and possible white feet. I would call her a chocolate and register her as a brown, tan and white if she has any white on her at all.

Re: devastated again

I am so sorry Red. It just doesn't seem fair that these special hounds leave us so soon. We have been where you are and have the best pack of dogs burried out in the running pen. It never gets easy and they are never replaced by another. But what we have found is that the special ones keep com...
