Re: Heat Problem
I have seen someone try to use Vicks during a trial. It was an ARHA trial and he had to pick up his dog within 15 min because the males wouldn't leave her alone.

Re: Heat Problem
Hunt her with only females or leave her home. Even if there are shots for this that and the other thing concerning heat cycles, I personally would leave mother nature alone.

Re: Beagles ain't bird dogs but I gotta ask?
The second beagle I owned was a dream. I put a lot of time in on my first dog and she wouldn't come in for nothing. All she wanted to do was hunt. That being said, she minded with just little reminder from the e-collar. Now the second... I never took a leash out with me when I hunted her. She would ...

Re: How's the snow?
We have had about 18 inches here in northern MI. It has gotten warm over the past couple of days and the depth has shrunk considerably. When it finally gets cold to stay, that should turn into a nice hard base so we don't sink all the way to the ground when walking. Looking out the window, we got an...

Re: Ever Seen This
Instead of putting the pup down, you could get it fixed and give it away as a pet, someone that doesn't hunt.... Just a suggestion.

Re: NEED SOME HELP !
You can't go wrong with Black Gold. I have also used Sport Mix and was happy with it. Right now I am in school in MI and my wife has been feeding something that she can pick up locally and not have to drive too far to get. I will try and get the name of that for you. The dog seems to be doing just f...

Re: 4 wheeler dog box
If you build it out of wood, then make it big enough to cover the whole back end and make it wide enough to be able to put a pad on it for your back and use it as a back rest. Have a door on either end with a devider in the middle. Multiple dogs, back rest, and maybe storage on top for whatever else...

A day to remember
Thank you to all who gave their lives on this horrible day. The families of the dead paid the highest price with the survivors living the hell of this day for the rest of their lives coming in a very close second. Today I put my ribbons on my uniform and stand tall to remember these heros. I would g...

Re: DOORS ON DOG HOUSE?
I have used conveyor belt material from scraps from a farm and have had really good results with that. Another thing I have seen is that you put a door on with spring hinges and mfg a lip on the outside edge that the dog can nose open. They just wedge their nose into the opening side and push agains...

Re: R.I.P Branko's Ringo Star
Tracy, I am really sorry to hear about this. My wife called me this morning and told me that she saw you at Mc Donalds. She told me that even before you told her what had happened that you looked depressed. I had to explain what Ringo was before she really understood the gravity of the situation. :c...

Joey, I am sorry to hear about your dog. You will always cherish the memories of your hunts with him. The "special" ones are always the hardest to bury. If you have your videos of him, you can alway sit back and watch them (and eat popcorn) and enjoy him over and over and never get tired of watching...
