Help Bev, no magazine!

Hi Bev, just wanted to let you know that I haven't received the January issue yet. I have moved, but emailed you and also sent a written letter with my new address. I have kept the old post office box address open for things that don't get forwarded, like catologues. I haven't received the magazine ...

I have a male...definitely not the alpha male of my pack....that will try to position himself between any dogs fighting and try to break up the fight. He will bark at them...run around in circles...etc. I can kennel him with any dog and he always gets along with them. But I have two males...that alw...

This is typically seen in young dogs...but if you let it become a habit they get away with....later on it can be almost impossible to break. First how far did the dog backtrack...many dogs will go a yard or two...if they have lost the scent...to see if the rabbit has side jumped...this is not back t...

August Issue????

Bev, I still haven't received my August issue. Usually I don't say anything, because it gets here sooner or later, but it has never been this late.

Guys, you can't blame it on picking up the "SPO" folks. I used to subscribe to SPO magazine also. And....they had tons of good hunting and training articles, plus trial coverage. But I am with you, I would just as soon see more articles. I get Hounds and Hunting for the trial results I want to see.

You will also need to treat the kennel too, or the fleas will just get back on the dog. I've had great success with Frontline Topspot. Usually within a couple days fleas and ticks on the dogs are gone. It kills the fleas when they bite the dog and lasts for 2-3 months. To treat the ground I use Twen...

Well said Big Dog. Rob, you are right also! Hunt can definitely be bred into a line. There are a lot of lines well-known for hunt.....the reason....it's been bred into the line.....and that's why many people breed that line. But....even though hunt can be bred into a dog....training can take it away...

I use cedar and it does help, but will not eliminate them. I treat the ground of my kennels with 20 Team Borax, on recommendation from my vet. It serves several purposes, it kills and repels fleas, also kills whip worm eggs and other types of parasitic eggs. I also use front line, have never had any...

John, You're right! When faced with nothing but what you can do for yourself, anything sounds good. I would roll in poison ivy if I thought it would take care of the snake bite! :)

Turpentine is like the old myth for people of cutting an "X" in the bite and sucking out the poison. I've had, through the military and several jobs I had when I was younger, several courses on poisonous bites from snakes, spiders etc. ALL of them said do not make an incision, the pain from the cut ...

Well I just got back from my attorney and he tells me I have absolutely nothing to worry about. He says the ordnance isn't worth the paper it's written on. I stopped this morning first and got a copy and the police officer tried to talk me out of going to see the attorney. He told me they could enfo...
