Bob, I'm glad to hear you won the deer battle. Boomer is without a doubt as good a gun dog as I have ever seen. He can do it all. Does he still bust the brush so hard that he can't see the next day? He is also a beautiful dog, but like you said a little too slow and controlled for LP. Glad he is sti...

We lost our Lsaha of 12 years, 3 months ago. He did not like children either, but was of a completely different attitude than this Lsaha(no relation to ours). This is entirely a food thing. She is fine at any other time. She was this way around food before the baby came, for 4 and 1/2 years. Anyway,...

Lsaha aggressive when fed.

My daughter, son-in-law and grandson (18 months) have a 6 year old Lsaha Apso. They raised her from a pup and she is a house dog. She is very loving, except when food is involved. She will growl at the two adults and has snapped at my grandson. They have tried spanking, putting her in her crate, etc...

I don't run PP and did not know about the change in HOY setup for next year. Is this also the way LP will be done?

In Little Pack, you are allowed 3 minutes to produce a rabbit if put on the clock. You can't have more time. When I grow up, maybe I'll be as good as you guys and can read a couple of posts, and be able to tell people that they need better dogs. It's Christmas, Haugh, take a day off!

Craig, That was a very accurate post. In the 10 years that I've been in trialing, I've seen many beaglers come into trialing for the first time. Most of them wanted to stand on the road and fault the judge because he didn't have a score for everytime their dog barked. For the ones that eventually go...

I've gun hunted and owned beagles for 47 years. The last 10 years of that 47, I have also been into trialing. In that last 10 years, I've had a lot of good gun dogs that were not good trial dogs. Here's why-IN MY OPINION, a dog has to claim a check extremely fast to be a good trial dog. I'm referrin...

I've used it now for several months. The dogs seem to have more energy. It is highly digestable, very few stools and they are solid with little odor. The dogs love it, but it is very expensive. I feed less than I did Dog Chow or different Dimonds. Ted Peercy

Confirmation, Structure, or whatever!

About 20 years ago, I had the best Beagle that I have ever owned. She was two years old, jumped nearly every rabbit no matter who I hunted with, would not run off game, stradled the line and was always the lead dog, would retrieve any wounded bunny, handled like a dream, worked a check from the insi...

Alvin Brown

Most of you that trial Little Pack in the Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama area know Alvin Brown. He lost his fight last night with cancer. He was a dear friend and loved by all that knew him. I've put thousands of miles on vehicles traveling with Alvin from Mississippi to Indiana. I miss you Alvin-...
