Sorry Miles! I know what that little male meant to you. I'm so glad you were able to finish him.

Re: Formats, Foot,and Style

Hahaha...bullseye and switch are similar in style? Lmao, hell no. Switch was a win or get picked up kinda hound, bullseye was super consistent dog that could usually place top 5 but I thought he'd have a hard time to get his wins. I remember josh running two males and getting upset because his pup w...

Re: Checkwork

I do believe an extremely faulty hound should be eliminated early. However, I also believe a fc shouldn't need a hound removed to shine. Running hit and missed in my opinion is the most overlooked demerit. Looking for those that hang onto it after they get it is just as important as those staying cl...

Re: Checkwork

I think the broad categorization of how these trials are ran is not fair assessment of the federation. Plenty of good check dogs place, win, and even finish. If you have the best dog on the ground you should get a look. The fast, overrunning, horse racing dogs only create more checks for a good chec...

Re: Congrats Glomski's Red River Runner and blueticken5

As good as RJ is in a small pack setting, he is 2x the dog in large pack. The pack does not rattle him, he rattles the pack! Glad Mike could help you get him down there where he belongs! Huge mouth and fast on the line with great endurance! I hope you can get him to a few more trials!

jim matuszewski wrote:seems like a lot of you southern boys are introducing northern hare hounds into your programs , my question is it to add speed or to add nose to the more tradional cottontail bred dogs or maybe both
You Northern guys kill me thinking there isn't any foot or nose in southern bred dogs.
