Online Field Trial
What do you guys think about this? Somebody did this a while ago and it was a fun topic. Field trial season is over up here and now its hunting season. A lot of us hang out at our computers at night so we might as well do something fun. Lets work it this way, we'll first "enter" hounds we've seen ru...

FC WW's Silky Girl was a heck of hound to watch run in LPH. I still remember judging her as a pup in LPH and a big pack of hounds on snow that featured four or five field champions. She took NBQ at about 12 months of age and Norry came up to me and said, "well what'd she do wrong?" and I said nothin...

FC Flat Creek Rover had one win in SPO and two wins in Large Pack on Hare. Howard Cate told me about the hound. I guess he was too much for SPO in VA and was sent up here to New England to finish, he banged out two wins in a short amount of time. A cleaner type hound that would come through the midd...

PA can go either way when it comes to running a certain style of hound. I have only been to PA once to trial, however I have seen quite a few hounds out of PA run. Most of the hounds I have seen out of PA have been very good, but range in styles Roger George of Hunters Creek Beagles bases his bloodl...

I know this is a fantasy thing, and its over...but here's my two sense about the last dogs on the ground. I can't believe nobody nominated FC Florona Midnight or IFC Larmay's Toastmaster. 1. IFC Mt. Zion Pete-Homer Larmay 2. FC Dingus MacRae-Bob Nicoll 3. FTC The Elms Jigs Maggies Mate-Ray Morrell 4...

Slim is just as fast as Billy Jack. He's at a 9. Don't get me wrong Slim can get rough as well and he had a streak there when Paul was liking a win on him that he couldn't stay in a field trial, but at the same time I think he's a better dog. A lot of people here in the Northeast have this same disc...

Slim Jim or Billy Jack
I'm a big Slim Jim fan. I judged Slim in his first trial, a tough picky day at Palmer back in 2000. He took a 3rd that day in a group of hounds that were placing all the time. The winner was NoGo's Rupert, 2nd was FC Hog Hollow Harvey, 4th was now FC NoGo's Tonto, and NBQ was a hound out of Proper B...

Jim, Thanks for the kind words on a fine hound. Woody is truly a great hound to have in the kennel. There are many fine Northway hounds out there, but I haven't seen one like Woodrow. New York Hillbilly, I think you marshalled for my father and I. We had a good time judging out at mid valley, saw so...

Jumping Molly
I'm not sure who she was by but she is quite the producer. She has had litters by IFC/Nat. F.C. Branko's Magic Touch which produced Wright's Lucky Emily(she may have finished not sure), two litters by IFC MJR Mitsou Argentevil Striker which produced FC Rock City Pat-Rick and Nr. FC Tontuta Billy Boo...

The two trial system....
What does everybody honestly think of this two trial system???? Its been in place for about 5 years now in Large Pack, and now it seems to be a big fight over dates. For instance, look at the first weekend in May. I live in Western Massachusetts...there are at least 5 trials that promote the style o...

Mt. Zion Pete
Does anybody realize how much of an impact Mt. Zion Pete has made on our dogs? A lot of people talk about FC Wilcliffe Boogie and FC Gray's Linesman and dogs like that when they talk about the beginning of the field trial hounds. But nobody really looks at Mt. Zion Pete. IFC Mt. Zion Pete is behind ...
