Put the light bulb into a brown clay flower planter pot, attach it to the floor or a board, works great, will not burn the dog, does not give off light, nice heater..

Is rabbit enclosure wire similiar to hardware cloth with 1/2" by 1/2"

I normally purchase the salt tablets used for water softeners, avoid those with added chemicals. I, too, see a big difference in numbers where I have added salt over the years...just drive around the area and toss cups of the tablets into the undergrowth..

Go to Walmart or Sam's and purchase a large bottle of glucosamine / chondroitin. Give him 1/2 pill daily, it will take 4 or 8 weeks but you will see a big difference and the stiff joints will disappear.
