Re: R.I.P collie-stien male pup.

Haven't been on here in a looooooong time but saw this and I'm curious. I saw where John Maynard (hi John!) commented so I'm wondering if you run over in the Pond Creek/Belfry area. I haven't heard anyone comment about how bad snakes are in the Marrowbone/Ferrell's creek areas this year but I have t...

Re: Gettin' old, can't remember dog's name!

Jimmie, when I first started reading your reply, I thought that I had dredged up bad memories. After I read further, I was glad I asked because I have good memories of some good old hounds from days gone by, too. What got me started thinking about this is the male I have out of Mason's Krissy. I was...

Gettin' old, can't remember dog's name!

There was a hound back in the '90s I think, I was telling someone the other day about him. He was at the world hunt and there was a dispute about his name being changed upon registration and he lost all his achievements then he came back and won them all back again. Do any of you old-school beaglers...

Buzzsaw. Hands down. No nonsense, in the brush while the other hounds are hiking still.

Oldest age to start?

Anyone ever taken a chance on a hound over a year old with very limited time in the field, even up to the age of 2? And how much time would you spend on it if you took a chance if there is little to no $$ involved?

and fleas, and flies. I started using them when flies started feasting on the blood they bit out of my dogs' ears. No more problems. The purple ones are the ones I use. There are some that smell awful. Avoid them.

Re: Will We Ever See A Big Dog Class???

I'm going to go out on a limb here and make a prediction. If there ever is a class for oversize hounds it will become wildly popular. Every sport that has classes from least to greatest draws the most attention to the biggest class. Oversize hounds would make for some hugely exciting running. I thin...

Re: Frusrating pup!

Dale, the best of Buzz is still around. He has a son named Hoss, I believe. I have two pups out of him and a Buzz female of mine, half bro half sis cross and both pups are 4 months old and act like grown hounds. I never saw pups as serious to search and keep their noses on the ground at such an earl...

Re: Question on Pup barking in the kennel?

I have a 3 foot long piece of 1-1/2 black plastic pipe. Instead of beating on the hound, I slap it against something that will make a loud drumming sound and holler at the same time. Before doing that I turn on the floodlights. After a couple of times, the floods will shut them up. And no, it doesn'...

Re: I NEED A FEED THAT PRODUCES LESS MESS TO CLEAN UP!!

Pride Pro (lime green or bright orange). Least stool I have ever had, and that is 40 years. $22-23 for 50 lb. I feed the orange 26/20 in season, and green (forget %) in warm weather.
