Re: West TN smackdown!! 21 gunned down

Better be careful about posting photos like that; we'll all be jumping in our rabbit rigs and heading for West TN! Lookin into that right side box compartment, it appears that hounds are already sawing logs. After a day's runnin, it doesn't take em long to curl up.

Re: Best Midwest State to Hunt?

When are you planning to make the trip? Missouri rabbit season ends 15Feb and doesn't reopen until 1Oct. However, you can still run your hounds sunrise to sunset during the closed season. The limit is 6 but a focus on limiting out isn't always a great idea since the supply, although good, isn't unli...

Re: Western Missouri Hunt Today

What bloodline are you guys running? Ralph's 3 are grade hounds. My two are mostly Branko on the top. On the bottom I have 3 or 4 generations back on the UKC pedigree chart but I don't know what blood lines those dogs come from. None are FC's. As for how mine became too tall, I don't know. I fed 'e...

Good lookin hounds. They have that look which says they're now ready to get back to the house for a bowl of chow and a nap.

Western Missouri Hunt Today

Here's yet another tailgate photo - this one of my two buddies and dogs taken after a day of running on the Shawnee Trail CA. The hounds ran at least 20 rabbits over the course of the day but we only bagged 3 each. There's a lot of rabbits out there for this late in the season. To add to the fun, we...

Re: AMAZING XMAS PRESENT!!

That's such a great idea. These little hounds, even if they live a reasonably long dog life, aren't with us all that long. That drawing will be prized for years to come.

Re: Black Gold Ingredients Change

MO Beagler 5000 - If you can get it over in your area you might want to try Simon's Choice. I believe it's produced at a plant in Mexico, MO. That's where our distributor goes to pick up truck loads. Here are the ingredients for the 26/18: Simon's Choice Dog Food/ Show Me Dog Food High Performance 2...

Black Gold Ingredients Change

Have any of you who feed Black Gold checked the ingredients lately? And noticed a change? Here are the first 5 ingredients in the black bag 26/18 "Performance Blend" - meat meal, corn meal, corn gluten meal, ground wheat, poultry fat preserved with mixed tocopherols. I paid $28.84 for a 50# bag of t...

Re: question about training and breaking scents?

When my 2 pups were 10 weeks old, I paid $7 or $8 for a bottle of rabbit scent. I dragged a scent flavored rag around the neighborhood, up into the woods and finally hung it up in a tree. The pups followed right on the trail all the way to the tree then looked up at the rag. Training complete, no wh...

Dog Box Marking??

Does anyone have any ideas on how to permanently and clearly mark an aluminum dog box? I've been thinking having my name scribed on the box with an aluminum weld but I'm not familiar with aluminum welding. I do know that I don't want a hole burned through the box. I want the box clearly marked so th...

Re: hycreek hunting jacket

I don't own any hycreek gear but I've seen a couple of posts that weren't complementary. It's made in China so how good can it be? The folks who bought the Wick patterns, materials and equipment can make you a jacket like the old Wick.

A great video Joey. I tried to track you via the video to your honeyhole but you did a good job hiding the highway signs. I got lost crossing the bridge. At first I thought you were headed west on I-44. Must have been going north though.
