Re: Don't say bad things about my dogs

How many rabbit dogs does your buddy have?? My guess- none. If that is the case, find someone new to take with you. Plenty of people out there you can get into rabbit hunting that would APPRECIATE the fact that 1.) you are taking them with you 2.) you are sharing YOUR rabbit hunting spots with them ...

Re: Question for judges

Absolutely. Letting the handlers decide what you are going to do as a judge is sitting yourself up for something silly to happen. When you get down toward the end of the cast and a rabbit is jumped, the person winning the cast will never want to put on the rabbit. Dont give them a chance. Just put t...

Keep up the good work!

A few of my buddies and I have taken up yote hunting during the offseason here in Ohio.....went out 2 times and killed yotes only one of the trips.

Re: Sring Nationals

what happened with the hound that tied the entire hunt up? The rule book says that if the hound(s) are not present at the casting area for the next cast, they are disqualified. Did they just slow everything down at the clubhouse to give the guy a chance to get his dog back before they sent them to t...

Re: cell phone and judging in lp

I dont think anyone said this judge in question, who ever it was, couldnt keep up.

This is just an example of not taking it serious and not putting forth any effort.

Re: YOU MAKE THE CALL

So you dont minus a dog that is giving mouth that is happy barking when hunting? Granted ARHA LP rules are very, very vague, especially things like this. They leave room for interpretation and everyone can have a different outlook on each situation. But I feel as a judge you should protect yourself ...

Re: Dog Warden

mspaci- I agree 100%. If he doesnt have a warrant, he needs to stay off the premises until he gets one (which wont happen without a written complaint). I would also tell him that any future visits without a warrant could be deemed excessable and harassing. I believe there is no warrant needed in Ohi...

Re: New Format

Hey Danny- I am starting up a new registry, should be in full "swing" by June. $5 registration fees for all beagles, $5 entry fees. There are some homeless people here by my business that live under the bridge that sell watches and stuff for some cash (Stolen I am sure). Two of them have agreed to d...

Re: on the clock or not??????????

Mouth is mouth. Cant expect a judge that has never been around your dog to identify between good and bad barks. Most beagles have several different versions of their barks anyway when they open on a track. The rules state that you cannot tell a judge how to score as a handler or spectator. So really...

Re: on the clock or not??????????

Danny- I would look at it this way. If you had Jessie in the finals at the WORLD this year, and Jessie was on the ground with a dog that "chirps" when cut loose or hunting, and it caused ol Jessie to bark into him and Jessie pulled three minuses in the finals when the other dog actually gave mouth 3...
