Looking for a stud

To Sirius: I have a five year old AKC Bluetick male that has produced some fine dogs. He will throw blueticks and brown redticks. He is medium speed, runs a good line and is my best rabbit dog. I have a litter of six now, out of him and they are very pretty. He is around fourteen inches. He is out o...

Show dog. I don't feed Diamond and never have. I just wanted to alert other beaglers, that might be using it. I was not trying to be critical of Diamond in particular. I realize that something like this can happen to any dog food manufacturer. If I am not mistaken, the same thing happened with "Ol R...

Deadly Dog Food

I just saw, on the internet, where 76 dogs, in different states have died from liver failure after eating contaminated Diamond dog food. Those who use that brand of food will certainly want to check this out. Go to this website and check it out: http://www.diamondpetrecall.com I hope that none of th...

My favorite rabbit gun is a single shot twelve guage with a modified choke. I use low brass 7 1/2s because of the reduced recoil. They work great. Most of my shots are thirty yards or less. They do just enough damage to kill the rabbit and there are very few shot to pick out of the meat.

I would not. It's hard on their system and might cause problems. Try something with fenbendazole or pyrantel pamoate.

No offense taken Warddog. I agree with you. There has to be trust by both parties or you have no transaction. I have to use a P.O. Box # because, I live in a small town and get my mail at the Post Office. I personally believe that there are far more good honest people out there than dishonest ones. ...

Randy, I couldn't agree more. It all goes back to that earlier post about fathers teaching their sons the proper values. If one generation fails in that area, it can ruin what has taken place in all of the past generations. A word of explanation about my earlier post. I don't sell a lot of dogs. I b...

I have sold and shipped quite a few dogs over the past few years and I never ship one until I have all of the money in my hand. I deliver what I promise, dog, papers, etc. Don't leave yourself open to be taken advantage of. In Oakhill's situation, I probably would have done the same thing. I have a ...

Joe, it's probably a good thing that mine don't favor their owner. I might have to dress them in costumes to take them hunting.
It sounds like you are really getting into puppies in a big way.

Joe's dogs are kind of ugly but, they sure can run a rabbit. LOL. If you want some pretty ones, I have pups for sale from time to time. My dogs run pretty well with Joe's also. LOL. http://donskiamichibeagles.tripod.com

I had a litter with two, that color, a couple of years ago. One male and one female and they grew off to be 15" dogs. I don't think that the odd color had anything to do with the size though. They sure were pretty but, just too big to suit me.

I normally let my pregnant bitches run until about two weeks before whelping. I think that it is good for them. They will just naturally take care of themselves and they are far more tough than some folks give them credit for. They know their limitations and when to quit running. They have been taki...

I agree Bev, I do enjoy looking at nice looking beagles. There are some fines ones on here already.
