Geeze Walter, you better find a new lease. A beagle wouldn't be much of a meal for a big cat but several beagles might fill him up. We're getting a lot of the big cats moving in down here and the ranchers are getting nervous. Might have to get back in the big hounds again afterall. Hope all is going...

Great letter Will, but I wish you had spelled out UKC, NKC, AKC, PKC, it sounds like the law maker's in your state might not be smart enough to recognize what the abbreviations stand for. I sure hope that all who responded to your letter from your state also write a similiar letter instead of hoping...

I am with MIKE! xdawg, you seem skeptical on all pictures of big snakes, do you not have BIG snakes where you live?? IF not I may consider moving where you are. I doubt that the camera angle would make that snake look even a tenth bigger than what it is according to the looks of everything else in t...

The trick is to find a good woman before you say I do and then treat her like an angel every day. My wife never complains about how many dogs I have or how much or often I hunt. She is a CHAMP. I do try to spend quality time with her but sometimes when company shows up to hunt our plans get changed ...

Bev be careful of feeding him/she whole seeds right now. You probably already know this but all foul have to have a grinding material in their craws to grind up whole seeds. If it is poultry we use what is called grit,a small crushed up shells and such.Wild birds eat small gravel to provide the grin...

I make my own hunting horns from both Goat and Cow horns but wanted to let you know a little horn I used to have that was about the best I have ever had. I found the tube off an air horn(one of those long ones) from a truck and fashioned a mouth piece on the end. It was the best sounding and easiest...

My kind of Doctor

I recently picked a new primary care doctor. After two visits and exhaustive lab tests, he said I was doing "fairly well" for my age. A little concerned about that comment, I couldn't resist asking him, "Do you think I'll live to be 80?" He asked, "Do you smoke tobacco, or drink beer or wine?" Oh no...

I have been using it for over fifty years with no side effects. I can't add much to what has already been said other than just in case you don't already know, use the ten percent seven dust if your putting it directly on the dogs. I use eighty percent about once a year to spread on the ground all ar...

I use the small plastic wire ties instead of the snaps or Orings. I have a small pair of side cutter pliers in the kennel building and just clip the wire ties when I am ready to take the collars off. I have the double buckles and had no problems until a couple of weeks ago when due to heavy briars o...

Doggone Walter, looks like your adding a little to your waste line since I saw you last. I would be happy to take that paint in the background off your hands, it would save you quiet a bit on the feed bill. LOL. Hounds are looking good.

Not sure where the term came from and it has two different meanings when referring to dogs. Some say they are a gyp until they have had a litter of pups and then they become a bitch. Others say they are a gyp until they reach a certain age and from that day on are called a bitch.

Bart, my hunting partner and I are always remembering back to our old coonhounds and often talk about how much better those ole grade dogs were and how we just had more successful hunts with them than with these newer, papered dogs. That is until one day I was going through some ole papers and stuff...
