I dont belong to any gun clubs in the area but would really enjoy getting together on a Saturday Morning of evening run some hounds, and talk hounds if you in around the area and would like to do send me a line, can't ask for better conversation material than rabbit hunting and dogs.

Well I know for sure now, she has been in heat for like a week, and now is 9 months old. I figure the cycle should last for about 3 weeks.

I have two young beagles that are hunting house dogs and I would not sell for nothing in this world, but if youre looking for a house dog only I wouldnt reccomend a beagle, due to the roaming part and thats all a natural instinct. what age to exspect 1st heat
I have two females one is around 7 months and the other around 5 months, normally how old is a dog before she comes in heat? Just want to be on the safe side when it does happen

I think I ended up with a runt, never seen the rest of the litter, compared to another puppy that was like two months younger she was still smaller, kind of timid. I kind of wished I had of given it a little more thought before starting this post, for it doesnt seem to be a good one. Has anyone lost a beagle to a coyote
Around here Ive heard of hunters loosing a beagle to the coyotes and was wondering if this has happened to any fellow rabbit hunters, When I run my beagles late in the evening , that thought comes to mind

I appreciate the advice, I have a couple of youngs ones and didnt want to take any chance, and save vet bills for things I can do myself. Theres definely alot of knowledge on this web site, its one of the best.
