Re: Ivomec Eprinex pour on Help!

You do have the wrong stuff. You need the injectable plain Ivermectin, make sure that you do NOT get Ivomec Plus.

Re: cure for travel sickness?

Ginger works in about 80 percent of cases. About 1/2 teaspoon. If it is really bad do it the night before and the day of. You can mix it with food, or mix it with canned food or peanut butter.

Re: Diamond DOG FEED

My vet who is a top breeder recommends avoiding chicken based foods if you are wanting to do any breeding, as the hormone residues can affect reproduction. Many of the cheaper foods mentioned in this thread are very low in calories per cup and therefore, not a cheap to feed as they seem. The Diamond...

Re: new whelping kennel pics

Rubber mats work great. Carpet is hard to clean and can be a problem if chewed like Les said. What every you use make sure that it has plenty of traction so you don't end up with swimmers.

Re: Eye Issue ?

Cutting it out can work, but leaves the dog prone to dry eye later in life. A vet can use stitches to h...

@ Catfish- Money rules the world we all know that. It is up to the breeders to make it about the breed as well as the money.

Re: saw dust on kennel floor

It does seem a little better than dirt to me, but wonder why he felt it was better than gravel? How do you disinfect it? It seems like it would be a wonderful breeding ground for every parasite on earth to me if it is just sawdust on dirt. If this is the route I had to go I would find some rubber ma...

Re: whelping box heaters?

It depends somewhat on where the box is located and the time of the year. If it's summer you don't need anything. I've used everything you talked about. I would never use a heating lamp again- they have been associated with cataracts and other eye problems. The eyes are still developing when they op...

Re: small or big beagles

The AKC Beagle standard leaves much more room for personal taste than many other breeds have the luxury of. You have to have some standards to go by in any competitive event, and there has to be some limits. It's not that hard to have a dog to compete with that is within the standard. There are no g...
