Re: Rabbit Scent
I know rabbits have "glands" in different places, but the only ones that matter are the ones that "release" while a dog is running them. I believe that is the ones between the toes only. And as nature would have it, I have read when a rabbit is due with babies, those same glands swell shut so the sc...

I know this may be a crazy question, but is the registered "Beagle Harrier" in the UKC a Harrier, Beagle or a Beagle mixed with a Harrier. And has anybody ever had one of these and used them on rabbit?

Fox & Coyote Pens
Are fox and coyote pens outlawed in most states? And, are coyotes starting to be protected again in many states? I had a friend visit me from Florida and he told me that all fox and coyote pens in Florida have been outlawed for over a year. He also told me that the Humane Society has been successful...

Re: Price of a dog handler
Years ago you used to see many ads with people handling dogs in trials. I quess because of gas prices or money in general, you don't see it like you used to. I would think that this would be a viable business. There is a lot of people that would love to get their dogs trialed, but can't because of w...

Re: 11 YR Old Dog at the world hunt
I know those dogs. I actually owned one out of that litter. Blaise McDaniel was the breeder. On my papers they were born July 13 2001. They come from some great breeding. The sire “Slop Creek Happy” had a brother named Hill Top Buster IV who my friend claimed was the smoothest dog he ever seen run. ...

Re: AKC SPO - vs.- ARHA LP
I know it’s kind of confusing to keep up with the styles of dogs and all the federations and organizations. ARHA & UKC are simple to keep up with. ARHA has: Gundog – slow Progressive Pack – Medium Little Pack – Fast Big Pack – Really Fast UKC has: Performance Pack – Medium Hunting Beagle Events – Fa...
