Re: Due date ?
Some people may say there isn't any truth in the moon changes/phases, but my parents and old timers always looked at when the moon changed as well as the # of days. If there is a moon change close to the 63rd day, don't be surprised if that's the date! We've tested it and more often than not, it has...

Re: Independant Pup
I tried leashing my dog in the field and she responded pretty well then quite by accident I let her out with our male field champion...well well well...she prefers running with males. She wasn't in season either! After she ran 3-4 times with the boys she started packing up with whatever is on the gr...

Re: How do training pens work?
At our place if you rent the pen it's by the hour, but very few people take their dogs out without us too (we need to make sure the intregrity of the rabbits is preserved). If you want a dog started, it's by the week at our place too. Take care though when you talk to owners that they don't just "le...

Re: Need help with housebreaking my 3yr old beagle.
I sure hope people have some ideas on this too. I have a 15 mo. old female that I'd like to bring in the house. She's been kenneled all her life before I got her and the little witch will come in after I've had her in the field running for 2 hours and pee immediately. She loves being indoors with al...

Re: Throwing up
If he keeps it up you might want to take him to the vet. I had an older dog who had those symptoms and he had pancreatitis. Hope yours gets over it, good luck

Is his bedding treated cedar chips? We had one that was allergic to the to treated chips. Put untreated ones in and he's fine now.

Re: Opinions, Please!
We've had a couple with kinked tails in our field trial dogs. Neither worked itself out as they aged. As a matter of fact, the tails seemed to show worse as they aged and the tail grew. As far as we knew no parents, etc had kinked tails. Good luck with whatever you decide to do with your puppy.
