Nice picture. Are the rabbit numbers up this year compared to previuos years where you hunt? To me they seem spotty 1 area loaded next area few and far between.

I have to run them on seperate collars as the dogs necks are to small to have both shock and tracking ssytems on the same collar.

Is Three Rivers Beagle Club going to have any hunts this fall or meetings?
I don't thank the club has had a actual meeting yet this year.

Three Rivers will be canceling due to not having enought working members to host the J.D. hunt!

I believe one of the members said they would take entries from 5:00pm - 7:00pm cst Friday evening.

What percentage of these Hot line breed crosses or good to good crosses turn out good pups?

How many pups do you normaly raise & train before you find 1 that hunts & runs the way you want?

Can't wait for it to cool down to start running again to get my old dogs in shape for rabbit season. What do most of you consider a excessive distance or time for traveling from the club house to a cast site?

I'm thinking that a 30 - 40 minute drive is a little bit to far to travel especially with the current gas prices.

Does anyone know if Three Rivers Beagle Club is hosting the Eliminator again this year?
They normally have it in February, but I didn't see it scheduled on the UKC site.

:D Always good running there. But more & more hunting pressure each year. I can remember a couple years ago going there on the opening weekend of season and being the only rabbit hunter on the property. Now we have to get down there before day light to get to the spot we want to hunt and hope no one...

Sad news indeed.
Bill was always good for a few laughts at our field trials, listening to his stories always made time go a little quicker.
