Re: Anyone use Purina Hi-Pro

I have 2 six month old pups and they have only had Diamond Puppy since they were weaned and they seem to have pretty soft stool. Thinking about switching once this bag runs out. My father in-law is a vetrinarian and so is my best friend. They both have told me to buy a really good food and then a ch...

Re: Time to Solo?

Thanks for the advice.

I ran them for about 3 hours on Sunday, wow what a time. Four minutes after I cut 'em loose they jumped a rabbit and never quit barking the whole 3 hrs. Even the "playful" pup opened and ran one on her own for about 50 to 75 yds.

Re: Time to Solo?

The old puppy trainer has been excellent. Runs no junk and pretty clean line. The pups have no trouble keeping up with him. In fact one of the pups will straighten it out and get ahead of the old dog. Will run this way for up to about 100 yds, then old dog will catch up and take over on a check. The...

Time to Solo?

I have been working with two pups, now almost 6 months old. I have been taking them with an old puppy trainer. Ash is starting to talk. She has jumped one and taken it for about a half circle, she occasionally will get out in front of the puppy trainer for a 100 or so yards. The other pup is still f...

How often is too much pressure.....

I have 2 five month old females that I have been taking to the wild with an older "puppy trainer" for 2 months now. I found a place that I know for a fact does not get pressured from anyone else. This place is about 5 acres with lots of briar patches and warm season grasses. I have ran the dogs ther...

Re: Feeding dogs bones?

Chicken bones along with other bird bones are hollow, causing them to splinter real easy. If you are going to feed bones try to stay away from these. Maybe instead of feeding the actual bone, go to the store and talk with the meat dept. Ask them if you can have the "bone dust" from the meat saw. Thi...

Re: Tri tronics Classic 70 G2 exp....who owns this unit

I had a old dog given to me to train some pups, and he is a good puppy trainer. I was told he would needed "bumped" a couple times a year. I ran him a few times and he ran a deer or two. I bought this collar, put it on him and turned him loose on deer and he hasn't shown interest. He listens great w...

Joeyman...What Corps ground did you run. I work for the Corp here in KY and was just wondering. I am a little familiar with some of the Corp ground up that way.
