Yes, I thought this thread was going to be a good one as I am awaiting the views and experiances of others on this shyness subject. I had gotten out of beagling for several years while I was in the Army but when I returned to it and was looking for dogs I noticed many more that had some shyness. I h...

Every piece of meat and or poultry you buy from the store has an inspection legend on it stating that it was inspected and passed or inspected and passed for wholesomeness by the United States Dept. of Agriculture. How many times have you heard of food recalls due to E-coli, Listeria, Salmonella etc...

I have a 8 year old that acts the same way. Took him to the vet and he said that he has pancreatitis. Some days he eats like a horse but it seems to go right through him but other days he will hardly eat at all. He has no energy but drinks plenty of water. The Vet said there was some sort of medicat...

Alabama John, I have no idea what these cattle had been wormed with. My first experiance with this was right after I first started in Food Inspection about 24 years ago. I was working a cattle slaughter in Anderson, Indiana (old Emge Packing) when I was told that a load of test cattle from Perdue Un...

Being a USDA food inspector I have seen numerous times where cattle have been fed real high protein feed to put weight on to get them to market quicker. When slaughtered the liver and or the kindeys are full of abcesses, leisions, dead tissue and generally Burned up due to the "HOT" feed. The carcas...

Ivermectin is the active ingredient in heartgard, that I'm told can even be given to pregnant females. So I would think that ivermec must be pretty safe. Of course any wormer is a poisin and should be used accordingly. I give my dogs 1/10 of a cc per 10 pounds of body weight once a month.

First of all in order for something to be slander it must be a FALSE derogatory statement. This is where the rub is as one person's idea or opinion of what is true (fact) or false (fiction) will vary tremendously from another's. We as beaglers and people for that matter can't even agree on written r...
