Re: Running prenant bitch
Lots of good advice on here. I always keep running them when bred, right up to, maybe ten days to two weeks prior to whelping. Not hard running, trying to keep up with a pounding pack, but some light running is good for them. When you can feel the little buggars squirming around and bumping their he...

Re: Northwind's Bet on Blue
Dana, Blue is the dog I was referring to. He's the only male I have left out of Blue Boy. He's a better looking dog than Blue Boy was. "Chance" as he's called, has the classic Ali-Baba head, build and mannerisms.

Northwind's Bet on Blue
Photo of the favorite hound in my kennel, 9 year old Northwind's Bet on Blue - out of FC Buckeye Ninja Blue Boy x Blueberry Knoll Bessie, Grandson of IFC Maravic's Blue Ninja x IFC Branko's Ali-Baba. Smartest dog I've ever owned, deer proof, house broke, won't leave the yard or chase a rabbit unless...

Re: FC Lefever's Ashley Rose
Ashley was a very nice hound. Her owner's put a ton of time on her and it showed. I think she was sort of their baby, house dog, hunting dog. Very personable and smart. Clean, line running, worked a check inside out and tough. I believe her Sire was a full or half brother of Johnny Paycheck.

Re: Formats, Foot,and Style
Whoa, whoa, whoa!!! Everyone chill. Different opinions and tastes make the world go round. Bottom line, each and every day is different. Sometimes it's the fastest dog that wins, sometimes the slowest, and sometimes somewhere in between. An honest, knowledgeable Judge knows the rule book and applies...

Re: Meachum's Doug
I never saw him run. He wasn't around very long because he finished so quick. I can only assume he was a good one. I did see him in the flesh. Gorgeous dog. Typical Blue Ninja look to him, very similar in size, type and color as Blue Ninja. Maybe a little thicker boned than what Ninja was. Arnold Wi...

Re: Formats, Foot,and Style
I ended up w/ Blue Boy at the end. More out of pure luck than anything else. It was obvious he had been loved and well cared for during his life, although he'd been on the shelf for quite awhile when I got him. He was a special dog. Very, very smart, with human like traits. Might seem funny, but I t...

Yes, the two I saw were like their mama. Fast, accurate, A-1 snow dogs. I think they beat my a$$ whenever I ran against them.....

Tula is a fast, accurate, tough, well built hound. Seems she produces pups as good or better then her.

Re: RUNNING A RABBIT STIFF
I've seen it a couple times. Very rare, but it was always on big hare, who had been run hot and heavy in warm weather for a long time. Stiff as a board from head to toe. Dehydration, stress, a combination of the two? Strange, but true.
