I have a VERY nice female from a big name stud,I have another female from a well known stud [he is a littermate to the big name stud ] and I've just reserved a pup sired by the big name stud out of an older bitch that goes back top and bottom to a VERY big name stud that is now deceased but is basic...

Re: Is there a point of saturation?
Supply and demand will dictate who pays what for a stud fee or a pup.If there is a pre-potent reproducing stud available I would think everyone and their brother would / should be breeding every topnotch bitch they have to him.Would anyone think that too many bitches were bred to Dingus Macrae,Brank...

If you're thinking of breeding and you've got the itch--just remember it all starts with the bitch!

Turbo Charged Thunder Blue and Branko's Sassy Suzie that is a well put together 14" hound. I've heard that Reggie wil...

Branko's Kasey
Branko has had this dog standing at stud at his kennel for several years now and according to their comments on him in his stud ad they seem to like him very much.I believe they also have a brother to him named Iron Mike that they were raising some pups out of.I haven't heard of any hounds out of hi...

Guys, you've got to let me brag just a bit.Shady Grove's Sassy Sierra made Rabbit Champion today. She did it in the ...

Re: slow dogs with fast dogs
I had a real nice female that was abit smaller and abit slower then the rest of my pack of pretty footy dogs. She never got left behind or left out but she could never run the front on them.Consequently she didn't give much mouth as I always figured they were pulling her too hard. She always was and s...

Re: Ideal temperature for newborn puppies
Best temp for new borns is 85 [on the floor where the pups are ] and you can decrease it 5 degrees each week.Once they are 3 weeks old they have delivered a "shiver" reflex and can generate enough of their own heat by piling up together. If you have a lamp in the whelping box make sure there is enoug...

Re: What are the hound running laws in your state?
Here in Tn. you can run rabbits year round on private land with no restrictions [must have current hunting license ] and you can run night and day. Some of the WMA's are resrticted from March 1 -Sept. 1 and some others are year round.Just have to check in the game laws handbook that has them all list...

Re: Branko's Real Sport ?
I have a picture of International Field Champion Branko's Real Sport being posed by Vic Costanza from a stud ad that was in the 1997 Better Beagling page 63.He was out of Heli-Prop and Branko's Pretty Pebbles [Branko always said that Pebbles was one of the best producers they've ever had ].He was a ...

Re: How many dogs do you own?
I have 3 females at this time.I like running a trio as it seems to make a nice little pack. They are well matched in speed, style, experience, nose, use of mouth, etc and run real well together.I've never kept more then 6 as that's plenty of dogs for me to get to the woods and care for and do it right.

Re: Who has seen Turbo Powered By Prop run ??? What
Not trying to start a thing here .Okay?Turbo was by most people's recollections a real nice rabbit dog and it goes without saying that he has produced some outstanding rabbit dogs.Seems that I've heard it said that Don really struggled to get him to leave the deer alone and that he never really did ...
