Re: Starting pen in SC Pa
Hey Mo Valley, since we're talking a little here, are you familiar with a dog named Mo Valley Code Red? He is the sire to the 11 month old dog I own. This dog is special, and no money could buy him. As far as Fred Will goes, he is a cousin of mine, and I will be talkin' to him. Adam, I don't know yo...

Starting pen in SC Pa
Hello all. I am looking for a starting pen in the Bedford County area. Altoona/Johnstown area would be ok, as would Somerset. I prefer something with daily rates as I just as soon start her myself. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

That's what it's all about. Congratulate the little fellar for us. Nice looking hound there at his feet, too.

Dang. You're lucky they didn't take at the dogs. It might have gotten ugly. Those are some nice rabbits.

Re: Why?
It's not a fascination for me. I like to hunt rabbits. If it's raining , snowing, sleeting... whatever. Here in Pa there is about one month in fall to hunt, and almost two months in winter. That may soon change to two and a half months pending new legislation. I would rather hunt than sit in the liv...

Pa Hunters: Proposed Rabbit season changes
The game commission has proposed adding three weeks to our second season-- it would run through Feb. 26 They also added a special week-long youth season to begin the week before our regular fall season---Oct. 9-16. Bag limits stay the same. Good work by the guys in Harrisburg. Now if they would let ...

Re: 1-17-2010 Rabbit Hunt - Action Packed Pics Video.. 2 caught
That's an amazing hunt Joey. I am little envious of your stomping grounds, I must say. The rabbits are somewhat scarce here in my neck of the woods. At least there are enough to hunt and run dogs. Anyway, those are great looking dogs. I assume you must work in IT or some sort of computer technologies...

Re: Excited for the off season
The most fun for me in the whole beagling thing is starting the young pups. Nothing like the feeling you have when a lil' one opens up for the first time. I have a four month old to start, and I'm looking forward to it. Good luck with your little one Dale.

Re: Skinny dog
I had a pup I got recently that couldn't keep from showing her ribs. She always ate heartily I added a teaspoon of hamburger fat to her feed each day. I also make her some liver once or twice a week. Problem solved. Worming may help too. That's a good thought.

E collar training 9 1/2 month old dog
I have a 9 1/2 month old dog I am quite pleased with. He does very well in all aspects but one. I have a lot of trouble getting him to leave the field at the end of hunt. It pi$$es me off to no end. Can I break him with a shock collar at his age? I have no experience with them, and will do a pile of...

Re: breeding question
AKC does not discourage this. Here is what AKC says on their website: Link... http://clubs.akc.org/NBC/NBC_FAQs.html I'm not saying they are right... but they make the rules most of us go by. 10. I've heard that you should not buy a dog that is inbred. What does that mean? This is not true. Dogs are...
