Re: REGGIE VS JUNIE
It goes without saying that both Reggie and Junie are exceptional rabbit running dogs as evidenced by their outstanding trialing accomplishments, successes and titles.Plus,I'm sure there are numerous eyewitness supporters on this board of both who have spent many hours in the woods watching them run....

Re: Dingus Stud
Bill Miller in Manchester,Tn. has Grand Rabbit Champion Shamrock.Shamrock is a littermate brother to the Ozzy dog that Jim Lane was standing at stud.Shamrock probably has more Dingus close up then any dog still alive.Shamrock is old and sired a litter a couple of years ago but don't know what his br...

Re: Round Pond Mr. T
When I lived in New Hampshire and was attending the Large Pack on Hare trials the word among beaglers was that if you needed some extra hunt in you hounds then breed them to "T". He was a good looking athletic hound.

I have always been told that Shaker had a ton of bottom and was a No Quit type of hound. Believe he was a Canadian Field Champion on fox also.

Re: swamp rabbits
The best place to find swampers in Tn. is to head west. You need to get out at least as far as the Tn. River that runs from Land Between The Lakes on the Ky. border down to Pickwick Dam on the Mississippi border. From there west out to the Mississippi River you can find them anywhere there's river/cre...

Re: Do you believe a house pet can be a good hunter?
Just got back from 8 days of hare hunting up in northern Maine. We ran the dogs every day for about 6 hours.A couple of the dogs wore Garmen GPS collars and we averaged 13-14 miles of running a day and one day had 19 miles of hard, steady , pedal-to -the-metal chases. We were running 7 dogs; 5 of them ...

Re: What vaccines do you all use?
I have a lot of veterinarians as customers.I have asked and it seems most of them reccomend either Pfizzer or Ft. Dodge. Seems that I remember Branko telling me one time that they use vaccine manufactured by Scherring/ Plough. Most vets. recommend and I do a 5 way shot [without the lepto ] at 6,9 and...

Re: Ivomec guys please step in here
Easiest syringe is the little tiny insulin syringe that only holds 1 cc. Remember you want to only give 3/10 of a cc NOT 3 cc.I always pull it out of the Ivomec bottle with the neddle attached then unscrew the needle and squirt in the back of their mouth. DO NOT use the Ivomec that says PLUS on it a...

Re: Red Mange
I had a vet prescribe me to give my hound 1 cc of Ivomec a day for 30 days and also to bathe them in a dip that contains Amitraz 2 weeks apart.Cleared it up completely and never had it return. Be advised that the "red mange" is demodetic mange and usually this is a result of a particular dog's immun...

Oh Yah
Forgot to mentiion that I've run hare in the north country, swampers in the deep south and cottontails all around here and I don't think it makes a bit of difference to the rabbits or the dogs.

Re: Bells on dogs, Bedded rabbits
I've been running bells on beagles for over 40 years. They don't work in snow as they do get clogged up pretty quick. The sleigh bells don't work that well as I've had several dogs get their front dew claws hung in them and found them three legging it in to me.Plus the mini cow bells on a nylon loop y...
