I used a heated matt for a litter of pups in November. Worked great! I bought a thermostat with it. Mine covered about 2/3's of the floor, so If it's set too high, the pups will just scoot apart or off it. If they're real close, it's too cool. But you really need it to keep they're core body temps up.

I have a dog I wish would lose about 50% of her voice -----permanently.

Usually, once I get out there, I can find a place where the wind aint so bad, when it's 20 mph & under. At 30 mph. not so much.

What about the Safe-guard wormer for horses- 25 gram paste 10% (100 mg/g) ? I was thinking there was a guy on here using the paste...

I have my dogs in separate boxes (they don't kennel well together). The boxes are about 20"x20" about that tall. 1/2 " plywood inside & out with 1 1/2" insulation. Thay also have the spring loaded aluminum doors. It doesn't take them too long to learn how to nose in & out. The boxes are in a carport...

no I'll try that.... Although, I used it today & got along just fine with it.

I have an NEF Pardnor 20 guage. It's a youth model. so the stock is a little short. Ya, you won't need shavings in there this time of year anyway, & being warm it won't hurt to block them out either.
