I too miss the post on here , I like the ones that share videos such as Bud Deny and Marty from Wisconsin. I hope that our sport is not dying but you don't see too many young people interested in running hounds , they would rather play video games .

Yes my friend from Michigan did say the AKC reps had been to a lot of the large pack trials. I do not think it is right for a 16 inch dog to be running in the 15 inch class , I'm thinking they need to open a larger class to keep the people from complaining and still let the dogs compete with hounds ...

I think AKC needs to look at a class for over 15 inch dogs. For about the last 15 years it seems our beagles have been getting bigger , maybe its the feed or just the genetics. I think there are a lot of oversize dogs that would show good in the trials but people can't run them . Back in the 80's it...

-5 this morning with windchill of -16!! Tomorrow is supposed to get to 30 degrees and in the mid 50's by the middle of the week , looks like we will be back in action , I am so ready!!! My wife is ready for me to get back out too, lol

-5 this first day of 2018 with wind chill -15 burr!!! I too can remember loading the dogs up about 30 years ago and it was -3 degrees out , hunted for probably 5 to 6 hours and it never got to 5 degrees on about 6 inches of snow, love to hear the dogs but will have to wait for a warmer day for sure....

The older I get the less I can take of the real cold. My dogs have not been out all week and it does not look like next week will be any better until maybe the weekend!!
