My mistake. I have no experience with pistols that shoot shot shells.

I have 5 chokes to choose from for my 28ga. For rabbits my choice is cylinder bore for first barrel and improved cylinder for the second. It is light ,fast,and deadly.

I believe it takes considerably more Caleries to digest raw meat than it does cooked meat. So I believe you would get more benefit per pound of meat by cooking first.
