Re: Stud Dog in WV, PA, or OH.
Thanks for the Pics. Nice looking hound. I am probably going to try and breed here to a tricolor or a B&T, as she is. I do have buddy that hunts nice blue dogs and will definitely keep your info. for him. He has two nice females he wants to breed at some point. They are both all blue with no brown a...

Re: "Epileptic" dog help
Catfish hunter, That is a tough one. I would think this is pretty rare in beagles. They are a very tough and resilient breed overall. I would seroiusly consider this dog be handled carefully. This guy maybe a house dog. Did the vet think the stress of running and hunting would add to the problem? Be...

Re: "Epileptic" dog help
Catfish hunter I had a male for 9 years that had seizures due to low sugar. Did the vet mention this or straight up epilepsy? My male would started getting wobbly and kinda actin' crazy he then would go into a seizure. We combatted this by feeding him some before we would hunt. I also would take che...

Re: Stud Dog in WV, PA, or OH.
Thornie, Thanks for the information and pics. Some real nice looking hounds. I assume all of your dogs are fast or near fast. Have you bred your Blizzard male to any females yet? What type of mouths does Cliff put in hounds from what you have seen? The reason I ask that is I have line of grade hound...

Stud Dog in WV, PA, or OH.
I have a really nice 3yr. old female that is Rob's Diamond II and BB Banker on her sires side. She goes back into some patch blood on her dam's side. She is a 13" female with super hunt and true medium speed. She is super tough and has heart and guts to go all day everyday. As you can tell, regardle...

Re: dog won't run with other dogs
copper22, I have had that same issue with a couple of youngs hounds as have my hunting buddies. My opinion would be to run her with a single dog and possibly kennel her near that dog if you can. Maybe the least aggressive running dog, but not junk. Maybe pressure from the other hounds is holding her...

Re: Rob's Diamond II and Dingus
Steve, You will get some top dogs from Jim Lane. I contacted him via email about breeding a female and looking for a pup. He responded back to me quickly and did an honest search for a pup for me. I appreciated that out of him and he didn't know me from squat. I am getting a male pup from Larry Perr...

Re: Rob's Diamond II and Dingus
Steve From what I have seen on this board and many other areas is that Dingus and Yellow Creek are known for exceptional hunt! That is one reason I actively pursued my Dingus female. She is a super jump dog and seems to know where to look for rabbits. My Diamond II female is what I call a "dumb" hun...

Re: Rob's Diamond II and Dingus
Steve, I assume you are asking about how hard they look for a rabbit? Both of my females are from lines of dogs that are actively looking for a rabbit. They both are a bloody mess within about a half an hour because the look hard for rabbits whether it takes 10 minutes or two hours. From what I know...

Rob's Diamond II and Dingus
I am a new user to the board and I have to say I am gaining a lot of insight from many posts. I am relatively new to having AKC reg. dogs. I have hunted with grade dogs up until last year. I have to say I have always tried to hunt the best dog I could afford or train. As of last year the first reg. ...
