Re: Review on the Garmin Astro 220, DC 30 & DC 40...

I currently have both the dc30 and dc40 collars and i like the dc 30 better so far. But i do quite a bit of bear hunting in the fall with hounds and the guy that i usually go with got 2 of the dc 40 collars to try this fall. We found that they had some of the problems that most people have stated b...

Re: Review on the Garmin Astro 220, DC 30 & DC 40...

I use both and I can sell both, but I don't stock these units. I have them "drop shipped" for the warehouse. My squirrel dogs didn't get out past 600 yards and I don't think and they rarely do get out much past 800 yards. I was in some "rolling ravines" that were fairly deep though. I was very pleas...

Review on the Garmin Astro 220, DC 30 & DC 40...

I personally have had a Astro 220 & one DC 30 collar for a little over two years. I think they are great! About two weeks ago I received two DC 40 collars for the first time. I've used one of them on approximately 6 hunts since I received them, and again so far I'm "very pleased". Key is to read/stu...

Important GPS Promo

I have a retailer’s license and I’m part owner in three sporting goods, one in each state Michigan, Pennsylvania and Indiana. I would like to get more feedback on the Garmin DC 40 Collar. So for this reason if anyone’s seriously interested in getting a Garmin Astro 220 with a DC 40 Collar, or just a...

Re: Tail Docking Question...

About a week ago I made a trade for a docking tool using for banding. My vet at one time charged $100+ for docking a dogs tail, but I just found a vet about 27 from me that will do the surgery for $55. Guess were I’m going :)

Re: Tail Docking Question...

I’ve seen dogs done this way and their tailbone still shows, or there is a hollow hole to the “inside of the tail”. I want a perfect clean cute. Can I expect this? If I shave a two to three inch area on the tail and then band it between the vertebras will this be as good as a surgery job? The treein...

Tail Docking Question...

I have a 35-pound treeing cur squirrel dog and I would like to get her tail docked. I’m not going to do the band on the tail thing, I’ve seen a number of dogs done this way when they are full grown and I didn’t like the outcome. I told the dogs owners “if it was me I would take the dog to the vet to...

Re: Nature vs. Nuture ????

I post this in an effort to find out for myself. I don't have a clue. We have all seen beagles that are shy. Are they born that way or do they get that from their life experience? Dave Both, some are born that way and some get that from their life experience. Ones that are born that way can be modi...
