Re: Blue Tick Follicular Displacement
This is a "blue" beagle. Pepper has never had any skin or hair problems but THIS is the color that has the problems. peppermodified2.JPG This is a bluetick (Eightball). I have never seen or heard of a skin or hair problem associated with this color (with the exception of mange which is a mite and is...

Re: Blue Tick Follicular Displacement
No?? Not taboo at all! Just never heard of it in blueticks but HAVE in the Blue's although have never seen it in either. My vet was telling me about a lady that has several blue's (gray color) that are up in age and are all but bald. I HAVE seen blue doberman pinchers with the problem. They look man...

Re: How many do you think?
I am going to guestimate 7.
I would say more but she looks to be short coupled.
If she was longer backed I would say more as they can hide more pups but doesn't look to be the case with her.

Keep an eye on that temp. If it goes below 99, get your catchers mit ;) will usually go withen 24 hours. Watch her eating habbits. A bitch will usually go off her feed close to delivery time. Not always though, lol. I once had a bitch that would pop a pup, eat a bite of dog food, pop a pup.............

Re: A PLASTIC PUPPY FEDISH
One of my favorite dogs over the years was names Little Man Mike Tyson. He got the name cause he was so little as a pup as he had been sick but was a fighter and survived. He was also always getting into trouble (Like Mike Tyson). Long story short, his trouble cost him his life. He was bad to chew o...

Re: Bench leg beagle???????????
In 1884 the American Kennel Club was founded, as well as the first Beagle Specialty Club, the American-English Beagle Club. This Specialty Club was established by Philadelphia area breeders, a Standard was adopted and the breed rapidly changed from the "bench-legged" beagles (crooked forelegs) who ...

Re: Dishonesty
Lets talk a little more about honesty but from the flip side....The BUYER. I don't sell hounds very often (been a couple years since I sold one) but as far as giving trials on running dogs, I have crossed the fence. I used to be one of these people that would give a 2 week trial (have on many many d...

The National Kennel Club was started by the American Rabbit Hunters Association to bring some new blood into beagling. HUH????   The ARHA was started by Everett Morgan to give grade dogs a place to compete and started the ARHA registry. During this time he also started "the Ra...

Re: Dogs that can lock on a cottontail
NR FC Southern Eight Ball. I have owned some great dogs but never have I owned a dog that could lock on a rabbit as well as Eight Ball. It isn't uncommon for me to have to catch him off a rabbit when I have him out soloing after 3 hours because I am ready to go (not because he is). I have never owne...

Re: Does my dog need friends?
Wow, a beagle in the house w/ 5 cats! Does that beagle tear the house apart chasing those cats? If not, I can't imagine you have a beagle w/ very strong hunting breeding in its background. You can't be serious???? If a beagle is raised with cats then the cats become their pack. I have a puppy train...
