Re: Run to catch

Me and some of my buddies made a few trips to New York to run Hare, back in the day when I was younger.. It was great fun and the beaglers up there were very accomodating. Most of those beaglers are running in beagle heaven today. Walter Butler and Joe Hanlon were two at Upper Hudson, that made us f...

Re: Run to catch

How do you get your Cottontail Hounds in shape to run Hare. Do you run them one day then skip a day?

Re: Heat Stroke-tendencies

Most of the heat problems are due to dogs being too fat and out of shape. Most beaglers dogs are too fat to run in high temps. However, some beagles have so much desire they won't quit until they drop. I've only had one to die, in about fifty years of owning beagles. I gave a friend a beagle pup and...

Re: Run to catch

D.R. I had a Little Ireland bitch once that was in heat. I took her down to Owen Bradford"s Kennel to breed to a Little Ireland bred male. Put her in the cage and she absolutely refused to let him breed her. Then his pet Male Feist came over to the cage. He stuck his nose through the pen wire and go...

Re: Run to catch

Maybe I’m the one miss understanding who the Friend/Hunting Buddy is that ShadyGrove is referring to, but my guess is it's the hunters hound/dog, not a human being! If that is the case, I just gave away one of the best hunting buddies I ever owned. She was an eleven year old bitch, daughter of FC B...

Re: Run to catch

Dana, I have had several friends like that, over the years, but unfortunately most have passed. Like Daddy Rabbit, I don't have the drive/health to run like I did just a few years ago. I'll be seventy nine in August. I've got four hounds and raise a litter of pups because I have a starting pen and s...

Re: Biden's Accomplishments 2.5 days

Post from another Board: VWhat’s The Endgame? So I’m sitting here this morning trying to figure out how the dims plan to navigate this. I read that something like 40% of all mortgages are in default (ie more than 30 days behind on payment). We’re rapidly closing in on a year where landlords haven’t ...

Re: How many?

I've got six bitches at present. However, I have sold enough to local rabbit hunters that have access to at least twenty bitches if I needed them to raise a litter. One guy has 6-7 males, he only keeps males, and I only keep females. When I raise a litter, if I start a good male pup, he gets it. If ...

Congressional Record 1963

Do you get it yet? 1963 COMMUNIST GOALS 1 – U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war. 2 – U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war. 3 – Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral stren...

Re: Big Tech Tyranny

Nikita Khrushchev sent chills down my spine I was fourteen years old in 1956 when I read that Russia’s Communist leader Nikita Khrushchev said, “We will take America without firing a shot. We do not have to invade the U.S. We will destroy you from within....” I distinctly remember thinking at my ten...

Re: Big Tech Tyranny

Thanks Bev! The light of the world is growing dimmer. I hope and pray someone, something ,can turn it around. The rich are getting richer and more powerful. The so called poor are temporarily staying the same. The middle class is shrinking and will join the poor once the Communist get their "Reset".

Re: Run to catch

Typical government bureaucracy. They create a problem, then spend millions dollars pretending to fix it. In this area they are destroying, or refusing to keep rabbit habitat. They have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on duck ponds, and greenways for nature lovers. They graded and made a half ...
