In my opinion , when they are starting i work em everyday. Especially once they start trailing and running. They need repatition

You see it all the time with any line of dogs. Ads for pups that are "FC insert name here" bred . When that dog is three or four gen back. I know you are mainly talking kennel names but is about the same.

If i was starting over and had pups, i would wait til they are started before getting another. Just to make sure i like them. I went through a ton of dogs to find the ones i like. You may get lucky right off the bat but you never know till they are runnin good. They both may very well end up keepers...

Thats why i like akc. You get a chance to run against all young dogs in a derby. All under two. If they cant handle the pressure then they need to go down the road.

I usually like four or five with one of those being a male. But now i have kept a male pup out of my male and am up to six running dogs and a litter on the way.

Dog training areas are usually posted with a sign. All other public area is closed may 1st to august 31st. My issue is the turkey hunters hunt the dog areas and it really ps them off when i drop 6 dogs in on em.

They are getting younger too. I gave a young boy a good pup last year and saw it for sale a month later. I called and told him i would take her back if he didnt want her. He never got back with me. Lesson learned.

Its great you met an honest person to buy dogs from. But the best education is to listen and watch the hounds.

Used to feed the black bag but dogs kept getting hot spots. My buddys dogs did the same thing.
