Had a great season. Didnt get out as much as i would have liked to. We got 54 between two of us. I got 34 of those. We dont jumpshoot only get em when they come back.

Mainly through not making the cut of being a good rabbit dog.one , he could run a rabbit but he tended to do a little backtracking and a could not break him from dog barking. One male was gunshy and could run a really good deer both double mated. Worked both theese two and never could correct em. Ha...

I have never owned a FC or even won a trial. But have culled more fc sired pups and even double fc bred pups than i have from just plain rabbit dogs. Although i have a couple running dogs that are fc sired that have a home with me for life.

When you are not happy with what you have, its time to start over. A bad dog eats as much as a good dog. And if i have to wonder everytime it barks if its a rabbit or not, i dont want it.

I think its very important to not only run em solo when freshly started, but think its important to brace em one day and pack em up another. But solo is important. Not that packing up is less important but they must be able to do their job by themselves.

Maybe pressure from preditors in an area have some to do with it too.

Where you at? guess i would drive a couple hours for one i like.

Didnt have many hole up this year. One spot where it seams they do more often we had a couple hole, but all in all maybe had four hole on us all season.

We dont get nearly ws bad of conditions as described. Have had some -12 without wind chill this year,olso more snow than usual but sure is nothing compared to what some of you guys get. Dogs had no problems. May not been as smooth as usual, but still accounted for their rabbits.

I run little dogs. the biggest is 12 1/2". they dont run any smotther or less than similarly bred dogs that are big. I run with a couple guys that run same bloodline and run great together.

I had two in the past. they were culls
