Re: condition your dog
12 days at 200.00$ = 16.66$ per day, if he spends 4 hrs running the dog which to be fair could include travel time to running grounds he'd make 4.16 an hour. Hope he does not have to go far at that rate cause I don't see a lot of extra for gas.

Re: Scenario - open discussion
Your point on how they will be treated when not in your care is a big one, can you live with not really knowing easier than not really being able to run them? I would rather treat my dogs well at home then take a chance on sending them away from it, I know beagles need to hunt, but they are pretty go...

Re: Victor just made a leap in price in my area.
Just talked to my supplier and he said 1.50 no more than 2.00 dollar a bag increase is coming, but not here yet. I to will continue feed Victor because I just have not found a feed that I can give to 6 dogs of all different ages that they seem to do so well on.I base this Opinion on the condition of...

Re: Victor Dog Food?
I feed purple, 26/18 @ 28.75 per 40 lb bag. Best food I have fed to all my dogs. I will feed the teal to pups 30/20 I believe. Just pick your amount of protein you need and you should be fine, it's all good food.

Re: dogs banging legs on collars-
I get the situations your describing Pete and Wicker, not trying to argue or convert and I'm no salesman from Garmin either. I bought one after I had a pretty good dog get her ribs kicked in by horses and I did not get to her in time and lost her. This was after several episodes with antennas breakin...

Re: dogs banging legs on collars-
BCBeagles has it right, run your collar close to the ears and off to the side and use the mini is about all you can do. I found the dogs that keep there head down have more problems. Running two tracking collars can't be helping, you still having issues with the Garmins Snowshoe ?

To find out how far you walked go to Track Manager then current track, distance is displayed at top of screen. You also can go to the archived tracks and see distance by selecting view on map for the day you choose there

Re: Garmin Alpha MINIs Issues
Finally got to try out my collars after updating and they worked like a charm. There was an optional update after the 2.40 I think it might have been 3.0. I kind of blew by it on the first collar but made sure all 5 got done, they sure link up faster guess all I can do now is hope for the best.

Re: Garmin Alpha MINIs Issues
I had problems like you described with the mini's and alpha, just started the last couple times out, the thing I noticed was poor communication with satellite. Three out of 5 collars have acted up, did the update last night but haven't used them to see if it helped. On the DC 40 when they gave me pr...

Re: Garmin 320 question
I use Birdseye the most but I also use the 24k topo maps and think both is best. You can use Birdseye by itself though. To get it go to https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/prod70144.html?zebratwo=CJ&utm_source=CJ&utm_medium=Banner&utm_campaign=Maps You will have to get the free Basecamp program from Gar...
