Re: Rabbit question

Perhaps you could provide your source for such information???
To the best of my knowledge snowshoe hares are not descended from domesticated rabbits or Eurpoean Hares. Domesticated rabbits I believe are descended from the european cottontail.

Re: Too much nose or not enough brains?

Some interesting posts here. Snowshoehareguide touched on a few points that I'm sure unless you've hunted in real tough conditions you just would not understand. One thing that seems to pop up repeatedly is the general distain for cold tracking & such. Truth is that if you are out hunting in those t...

Re: How to get rid of Giardia

There is no home remedy for "beaver fever" (giardia) other than waiting it out..... 6 to 8 weeks for it to runs it's cycle apparently. However this bug is pretty contagious and you don't want it in you. Trust me on that. It doesn't just live in your dogs intestines.....there has to be a source.........

Re: Solo, The Amazing Cure

To each his own but you dont know what you really have unless he does it alone . imo See...... I look at it the other way. You don't know what you have until he is packed consistently and performs the same. And if he does how he should and how you like in a pack.... and you run a pack, who cares wh...

Re: Solo, The Amazing Cure

Eddie, I've never seen a dog that cleaned up running solo and stayed that way once dropped back in with the pack. A least not without limited exposure to pack running followed by lots more solo time. If you enjoy running a pack it's better just to find a hound that doesn't need cleaning up in the fi...

Re: Solo, The Amazing Cure

Running the same pack of dogs day in and day out doesnt tell me all that much honestly, the dogs conform or "slot up" if you will and what I have seen personally is the same dogs jump, the same dogs lead on the drive, the same dogs pick the checks, etc. My never answered question is the dog that ge...

Re: Solo, The Amazing Cure

Believe it or not if you run the same pack of hounds day in day out, it's not terribly hard to figure out who is doing what and where and who isn't unless you aren't paying attention at all.

Hell, don't most of you guys pay judges to do that at trials in just a few hours??

More real George Carlin material.... .... "…Human beings will do anything, anything. I am convinced. That’s why when all those beheadings started in Iraq it didn’t bother me. A lot of people here were horrified, “Whaaaa, beheadings!” What, are you ___ surprised? Just one more form of extreme human b...

Re: So True

George Carlin didn't write that. Here's what he DID write in response to misquotes such as "paradox of time" "Floating around the Internet these days, posted and e-mailed back and forth, are a number of writings attributed to me, and I want people to know they’re not mine. Don’t blame me. Some are e...

Re: U.P. Hare hunt

in my opinion no one should ever have to apologize or come up with any sort of justification for hunting. If you just enjoy the chase, that's fine. If you like to knock a few down that's fine too. To the guys that don't think it's sporting to shoot a white hare on bare ground....... there's plenty o...
