Re: ~~~~~LETS SEE THOSE REGGIE DOGS!!!!
I've never really looked into how to post pictures on this board, but I own two females out of Reggie and one out of his littermat brother Thunder Blue that I like very much. Sierra is out of Thunder Blue and Branko's Sassy Suzie. She looks almost exactly like Hill's Redman's top pic.dog.She made Rab...

Re: traits of a 8 month old pup
I believe what you're seeing is how the dog will develope and turn out.Sounds like he has all the traits a lot of us beaglers want but probably will develope into a hound that is too strong for U.B.G.F.Might be more suited in style for A.R.H.A.Little Pack,Progeressive Pack or Mid-West S.P.O.

Re: Dogs want to eat the rabbit!
I've had some that don't care anything about a dead rabbit.I've left it lying where I shot it and have them come right up to it,cast their eye at it lying there and keep on hunting after giving me a look as if to say"why'd you go and ruin my run?" I've had others that will suck it down like a grass ...

Re: dew claws on back legs
I always cut them off the pups at about 2-3 days old and they don't hardly bleed.I also use a pair of the large nail clippers and dip them in rubbing alcohol first and get as close to the leg as you can.I don't bother with the front dew claws as they never seem to cause a problem like the larger rea...

Re: What are the coldest temps Beagles can sleep outside
I've been keeping hounds [beagles and coonhounds ] outside for the past 36 years in both New Hampshire and now in Tennessee.Temps. in New Hampshire would often plummet to well below zero and right now here in Tn. we're having a cold snap where it's been down around 10-12 degrees at night and staying...

Re: 20 gauge, pump or single? maybe o/u
You're right the Remington / Baikal SPR 310 [ I believe earlier models were called "SPARTAN"] are a single trigger. In regular operation the bottom barrel fires first then the top. When you load and close the gun you can push the trigger forward and you will hear a click. Now the top barrel will fire f...

Re: 20 gauge, pump or single? maybe o/u
I had carried Remington 870 pump guns in both 12 and 20 gauge for years and loved them.I recently bought a over and under in 20 Ga. imported and sold by Remington. It is made in Russia by Bakal.I checked out the gun reports on it and it came pretty well recommened.I love the gun. With only two shots I...

Re: BEDLAM BEAGLES
I attended the National Beagle Club's Triple Challenge event about 4-5 years ago and got to meet and visit with both Mandy and Billy Bobbit while there. As previously mentioned they are both very nice folks. At the Triple Challenge they have 2 field events and a bench show. One field event they call a...

I.F.C. Maravic's Blue Ninja had a reputation of reproducing a really strong bitch line and his littermate sisters Mimi and Missy were pretty outstanding also.

Re: Lumber Jack over Primetime
Have never owned a Lumberjack or a Primetime bred hound my self although I am a big fan of hounds that go back to Jack of all Trades which both of them do.I was at a Mid-West trial awhile back and Denny Dugan was running several Lumberjack hounds. From what I saw that day they showed no shyness/timid...

Re: AKC TRIALS or ARHA HUNTS
Depending on how your dogs are registered and what type/style of hound you run I would look into the A.K.C. S.P.O. trials run by the Mid-West Beale Gundog Association. Many of their Kentucky clubs hold their trials in the Berea,Ky. area or near the I-75 corridor. You can find a link to them on the int...

Re: Putting weight on dogs??
I've found that the quickest, easiest and cheapest way to put weight on a dog is feed them pasta.Doesn't make any difference what type of pasta;spaghetti, noodles, shells, etc.Plenty of charbohydrates. You can throw a boullion cube in the water your boiling the pasta in and they'll really go for it.

Re: Taylor's Sock it to Me? Traits
I've heard some older trialers in the northeast that claimed To Me was over sized but would squat at the measuring. Also heard said that he would throw a lot of big dogs that would sometimes go over.???????
