Re: gps or e collar
I went from just a classic 70 system then upgraded to the trashbreaker, then added the garmin astro 220. All were great systems and each upgrade was better than what I had before. Two collars never bothered the coon dog but was pretty overkill on my small beagles though. Bought the Alpha last year a...

Garmin not showing dog tracks?
My alpha just recently started not showing the dog tracks unless it is zoomed all the way in to 40 yards. Anybody have a idea on how to get the tracks to show?

Re: DRUMMOND ISLAND
Very nice guy got us into some good ground to run and gave us a few spot to try next year. Maybe next year I can run into a few of you folks up there when I am up there roughly the 4-11 of October.

Re: DRUMMOND ISLAND
We have gone the past few years in October. This year it was real wet while we were up but we still found hare had to look and explore a little more but we spent everyday putting miles on the dogs. We dont shoot them though so a couple hare last us all day. First day we dropped down in maxton plains...

Garmin Alpha?
Is there a way to make the dog you have on on the dog screen match the dog selected for training? Right now I have to independently select the dog at the top I want to train from the dog that I am on that shows the yardage and direction. It would be nice if these to were linked together.

Re: just looking for opions
With 5 minutes left the dog that opened and was put on the clock should of had either plus or minus points if I am reading the scenario correct.

Re: Garmin Alpha Update - Plz Read
Mine always hangs around my neck so I have never had a problem so far. However OKIEDOG do you know if garmin recommends a certain speed class SD card for the alpha for use with the birdseye.

Re: Garmin Alpha Update - Plz Read
Mine started doing this after I loaded birdseye. One thing that I did other than update to the latest version was delete old tracks for myself, the dog, and archives. when looking through my memory I noticed that it was 75% full of old tracks and info and my archived tracks since when I got the unit...

Re: garmin alpha /dc 40
Even with the tt10 collars they fit my small barely 13 inch females, the stock collars wouldnt fit but Chuck from Plum Creek Kennel Supply hooked me up with some that swap out and work great fits every beagle and even the coon dog. I had the 220 with the dc30s and 40s and the Tritronics Trashbreaker...

I have never ran in a pen no one around here has one but I can say I run over triple in the "off season" in my normal places than during the hunting season.
