Re: Mid-West Beagle Gundog Federation FC's

Please add my female to your list: Hicktown Wailin Josie. Another by Reggie, out of Fox Creek's Lady In Red.

Re: Question about Fox Creek beagles

Unless Frank recycled the name, I think Peppermint Patty would have been born around 2005, give or take a year. I have a female off her littermate (LP HOF Evans Lady In Red) x Reggie, which I really like.

Congrats Derek. Would have liked to watch a couple rabbit dogs like Goose and Banker rolling together!

Re: Little pack concerns with judges

That dog's bred and built to be fast regardless, and that he is. Combine that with a big check area and a little mouth, he's a tough one to draw.

I've liked Roper Joe since the first time I saw him go; definitely a rabbit dog. Agree with Jeremy above that he could do well in multiple formats.

She did Jake. Went on to be part of that finals cast along with your Shy dog the next day, one heck of an hour of hardcore pounding!

Re: Ever had a dog caught in a trap?

Last year at a field trial, my dog stepped in one while the pack was running a rabbit. Luckily the judge was there to see it, called me down, and he held her muzzle while I removed the trap. We moved to a new location and she kept on rolling. Luckily it was a small coilspring; no damage to her.

Re: Ear Bleed

I've got a dog with permanent damage to the fronts of his ears; it worked down into the tissue where the hair wouldn't grow back. We could put layers of krazy glue over the edges of the divots for a short term protection, but that caused issues when it started pullng off as well.
