Re: Hot spots?
My experience with hotspots is the dog got them when getting too much high protein food in the summer months, when he was running less and burning fewer calories.

Re: Oklahoma state
Testament to the group of people down in Okie: driving home yesterday, my nine year old daughter told me she really likes how everybody at the club is so nice. You guys (and gals) are doing it right! Thanks again and we'll see you down the road.

Re: Congrats to adam and banker
He looked really good both rounds I saw this weekend, consistent with every other time I've seen him go. Congrats again.

Re: 27 more days
When you have kids, get them a pup while they're young and get them involved. The wife can't deny that quality time you spend with the kids running rabbits.

Re: What does it cost?
Sounds like a fair deal to me. The problem is that both beagles and beaglers are cheap. Lots more money in other breeds. You did get me thinking, because I'm a numbers guy..... Monthly Gas $200 (for running and work parties at the beagle club.) Food $60 / 3 dogs If I had one it would cost me $220/m...

Re: Reloading 20 gage
I think the 5 shot is just about perfect for rabbits with the 20. Shooting IC and sometimes MOD choke, get a lot better penetration through the cover than I did with the 7 1/2 shot I used to use.

Re: Reloading 20 gage
Kenny, no reloading advice but I've gone to Dick's Sporting Goods around Labor Day when they run a special and I buy 100 round cartons of Winchester #5 shot, high brass. It's a buy one, get the second for half price deal each year and last time I bought them they ran I believe $37.50 per 200 shells....
