The only thing I know of is having certain areas closed during off season. I'm in northeast Indiana and hunt pigeon river mostly; it is closed to dog running except for one area during off season. They open all the property during hunting season.

Never seen this male go but have seen his parents and they are both as good as they come. I'd be checking him out if he was closer.

Bill Sawyer is at the top of the list for me. He had champions in AKC and UKC, but more important than that; he bred rabbit dogs. He knew how to get the best out of a hound. I believe he made UKC's first ever champion. A wealth knowledge that ol preacher had. Sure do miss talking dogs with him.

I haven't heard from Bub in awhile either Steve. Hey Jeff, Steve should be able to tell you alot about this hound as he is the breeder I believe. I know of your hounds sire well also. He was pretty quick with good hunt and is known for producing the same.

I agree with with the above post. I've owned and ran with several from both lines and owned one that was a cross of the two.
